It Depends

Well, I knew a man in Sante Fe
Who build himself a boat
And he waited for the tide to change
To see if it would float
Well, the neighbors finally called the cops
And they hauled him away
But before he left
He had these words to say:
Cho:
It depends on how you see it
It's just your attitude
I could be a cockeyed optimist
Or crazy as a loon
Maybe I see the possibilities
Where no others can
Or these could be the dreams
Of a desperate man
Sometimes I think I'm crazy
For putting up with you
My backyard's full of lumber
And I'm wondering what to do
Are you sewing on some sails
That will tack us hard alee
Or a nifty straight-jacket for me
Cho:
Just imagining right now
That your sitting next to me
And you don't make a move
To take my hand off your knee
And you pledge your love forever
And we sail off to the west
In a land-locked boat we love the best
